Lagos to Host Invest in Lagos 3.0, Targets ₦4 Trillion in New Investment Inflows
The Lagos State Government is set to host the third edition of its flagship global investment summit, Invest in Lagos 3.0, with an ambitious goal of attracting ₦4 trillion in local and foreign direct investment (FDI) into Nigeria’s commercial capital.
Scheduled for June 8–9, 2026, the high-profile investment forum will take place at Eko Hotels & Suites and is being organized in partnership with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).
The summit is expected to bring together global investors, policymakers, and business leaders from across the 56 Commonwealth nations, reinforcing Lagos’ ambition to strengthen its position as Africa’s leading sub-national investment destination.
Invest in Lagos 3.0 to Showcase Key Growth Sectors
This year’s summit is themed:
“Lagos: The Business Gateway to Africa — Where Innovation Meets Capital.”
According to organizers, the event will spotlight investment opportunities across strategic sectors critical to Lagos’ economic expansion, including:
- Infrastructure development
- Industrialization and manufacturing
- Digital economy and technology
- Agriculture and food systems
- Energy transition and sustainability
- Logistics and transportation
- Financial services and fintech
- Real estate development
- SME growth and entrepreneurship
The Lagos State Government says the forum is designed to connect global capital with scalable projects and investment-ready opportunities within Africa’s largest city economy.
Lagos Aims to Deepen Global Investor Confidence
Speaking ahead of the summit, Folashade Bada Ambrose-Medebem, Co-Chair of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), said Invest in Lagos 3.0 will build on the momentum of previous editions with stronger global participation and clearer implementation pathways.
According to her, Lagos remains central to Africa’s economic growth story and continues to offer unmatched opportunities for investors seeking access to one of the continent’s fastest-growing urban markets.
“Lagos sits at the centre of the African economic story,” she stated, emphasizing the state’s commitment to creating a more business-friendly investment climate.
Over 29 Global Speakers Confirm Participation
Co-Chair of the Local Organising Committee and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Sam Egube, revealed that more than 29 international speakers and industry leaders have already confirmed attendance.
The summit is expected to feature expert panels, investment roundtables, policy dialogues, and networking sessions designed to foster strategic partnerships between Lagos and global investors.
Business executives, development institutions, private equity firms, and multinational corporations are expected to participate in discussions on capital deployment, innovation, infrastructure financing, and regional trade opportunities.
Lagos Strengthens Position as Africa’s Investment Hub
The Invest in Lagos initiative reflects broader efforts by the Lagos State Government to attract long-term investment and expand the state’s role as a gateway for business across Africa.
As Nigeria’s economic powerhouse, Lagos contributes a significant share of the country’s GDP and remains a major hub for finance, technology, logistics, and entrepreneurship.
Analysts say the state’s focus on investor engagement, infrastructure modernization, and regulatory reforms is helping strengthen its attractiveness to both domestic and international capital.
Outlook for Investment and Economic Growth
With global investor interest in African markets rising, Invest in Lagos 3.0 is expected to serve as a major platform for showcasing bankable projects and advancing strategic partnerships.
If successful, the summit could play a significant role in mobilizing the targeted ₦4 trillion in investment inflows, supporting job creation, business expansion, and long-term economic growth in Lagos and across Nigeria.
As the city positions itself as Africa’s premier business gateway, Lagos continues to leverage innovation, policy reform, and international collaboration to drive its next phase of economic transformation.
